Nice!
I'm a lawyer in Paraguay, and I usually work solo in the fields of civil and intellectual property law, with some administrative law thrown in for good measure.
I've been using Linux on the desktop from 2000 onwards, and exclusively about 2005 or so. I've been a law student using free software, and I wrote my lawyer's thesis in LaTeX.
I practice law using LibreOffice, and I'm having no problem using it. I keep a Word365 install in a Windows partition for compatibility purposes, but I almost don't use it (the fact that it forces that hideous ribbon interface on me doesn't help... Hey MS, give us a proper WIMP menu back!).
For PDFs I use Okular, which handles digital signatures well and also offers a bunch of annotation features.
My Linux setup is Slackware-current, right now I'm using Plasma 6.8.
If anything, Linux and free software helped me work more efficiently.
