Based on Azure... Isn't that one of the more unreliable clouds in the market?
Edit: https://assets.theregister.com/2026/04/04/azure_talent_exodu... The blog post that story is based on was also on HN.

Define unreliable? Azure has a 99.97% historical uptime, AWS at 99.95%. Azure is #2 in market share, right beyond AWS. Engineer anecdotes about internal strife doesn’t equate to external reliability. I’m sure you can find AWS engineers complaining about AWS, or GCP, or insert company. (Also, Microsoft owns Azure and GitHub, so what did you expect?)

It was a question, not a statement. Yes, you can find complaints about every company. I have never used Azure, but remember people complaining like in a sibling comment. I have used AWS for 15 years, some years even a lot. It's mostly working, although I also have my complaints. They have billed me for a VM after sending an email that it has probably failed. And yes, it was not working correctly. As we speak they have locked me out of my private account, not particularly important, and support can't tell me why. They are still billing. Nothing really surprising, the cloud is not your computer. And hyperscalers have no customer support worth the name unless you pay $$$.
What do those uptime numbers tell? For 95% of the problems I had the status page has no information.
