Yes, it is the local model narrative that BigAI likes because it will not happen but people are deluded into thinking that there is no danger of an oligarchy.

Mathematicians for example have used it as cope for their current reliance on unsavory corporations, telling themselves "just one more year, and I can solve a millennium problem on my Asus Strix".
