> Nvidia has rejected the claims and on Thursday would not say if Huang would appear before Congress. “Meetings with customers are part of a CEO’s job. Jensen talks with thousands of customer executives every year,” the company said.

But does he go to restaurants and bars with them, and then have private comms after? There are photographs of the two together in such locations, and it was already know that the company (Megaspeed) was thought to be smuggling.

I don't like oligarchy, but NYT overreach always feels to me like a betrayal (of journalistic principles?), given how popular they are with the center-left (mods, denizens of the fifth-estate, politicians)

This is wide-spread across all leanings and media formats. The independents can be much worse. The financials are completely broken and most cater to their base. Not sure how we remedy this...

I've switched to finding specific programs or people, with high skepticism. I generally prefer non-daily shows or long-form content that is more like a lecture or interview.

You might want to find PaulHoule in Ithaca.. local social media (& activism) is totally his wheelhouse, I reckon?

Or join his "reading group" first.

(You just have to remember he absoltely knows that he ought to be terrified of coming off as a pompous prick)

FT ain't too right.

It's more socialist than The Guardian sometimes

> FT = "socialist"

and you're not even ironic, your overton window is way off to the right/libertarian side

No, the Financial Times is NOT socialist.

Ironically, some policies coming from the far right look a lot like socialist policies.

They have changed their definitions for conservative and socialist to fit their new world view.

Elections are the continuation of attempts at thoughtful conversation by other means
