I looked at Wix when they were new.

My first thought was "this is a captive portal that will never let you have your website back without first slaying a multi-headed hydra."

Good luck.

Thanks, mate.

The most funny thing is they requested sensitive documents via email pipeline and not via proper onsite kyc behind tls. And after providing them photo they refused to release domain and told me to request help from ICANN. I guess that's how they do business in Israel.

Only domain name I ever had stolen (and resold) was back in the Win 98 days - before domain locks were a thing - by an Israeli who hacked into my domain account a day after Israeli border control took my laptop into a back room for an hour. So yeah, I guess that's how they do business in Israel.

I would say they are likely experiencing an overwhelming feeling of panic right now, similar to how AOL felt when the internet was opened to the public.

Not only can AI make a website for you, it can also configure the hosting for you.

And in 5 minutes when that task is done, you can tell it to create a company like Wix.

You're dealing with their desperation at this point.
