Seeing the amount of trouble I'm having getting my HP omnibook X 14 (Snapdragon / ARM) to run linux with all peripherals; don't hold your breath.

I much prefer ARM over x64 and Linux/BSD over the alternative but it's a wasteland of patches and technical debt out there.

EDIT: update, for some reason I revisited this weekend: I was able to get a new Fedora 45 running with every but tpm0 and camera; but working wifi, audio, bluetooth and battery perfectly; and fast.

Disable tpm0 check at boot for reducing the boot from 50 seconds to 5 seconds...

I think one advantage of Linux on Mac hardware is that it's a consistent target: everyone is using and developing against the same hardware, and there's millions out there. Vs other ARM laptops there's 100s of different models, so 100s of different fixes and everyone fixing their "own" model with fixes that are only useful for that model

I had one of those … the only reason I got it was for the NPU and the ram … but then there was no PCIE bandwidth …. Moved on lol
