I'm angling on having enough "timeless" stuff banked-up that when they do go away I can just watch what I have cached. The kind of stuff that I like to watch (basically amateur "maker" stuff) is such that it'll still be interesting in 5, 10, 20 years.

I have avoided any kind of "community" or participatory-type Youtube engagements specifically because I expect it all to get walled-off at some point.
