I went from an early adopter of AI tools, building my own tools, setting up a crazy openClaw rig, back to just the default coding apps.

For work use Claude code on desktop. Mostly using sonnet, sometimes opus.

Personal development has gotten pretty interesting, mostly centered around my Android phone. I just have the $20 claude plan. Claude code is running on a build machine VM. I use my phone Claude app to remotely build android apps. I then have the machine install the apps over the network onto my phone. The VM also has full adb access, and sometimes I go into desktop mode from my phone if I need to get into the terminal a bit more. It's been pretty fun to vibe code android apps on the fly!

(I tried to get claude code installed locally on my phone but I'm missing some android build tools in the terminal without rooting my phone)

It is interesting how many apps/startup ideas are being swallowed by the big AI desktop apps.

Wow. How does your remote machine install apps on your phone? I didn't know that was possible even

I'm curious about the adb part. Are you running this over tailscale or similar? Or only when you're at home?

Ubuntu Server VM on X86. I set it up once, logged in with claude code cli (/remote), and the rest of the build chain is CLI (gradle, adb, etc)
