Semi-related question I was wondering about recently - how is it that Alibaba has a better consumer-friendly open model (for coding anyway) than research-leading companies like Google?
Well Google could open source Gemini 4 Argon but they choose to release the lower tier models open source instead... Its an active choice they all make.
