> I still don't know how they're valued at $5B+ when I don't know a single developer who actually uses it anymore
B2B maybe? Usually these businesses thrive solely on flirting with the CTO and getting them to sign a lucrative contract and then mandate internal usage. I'm speaking from experience.

Probably. They’ve been sending a lot of emails with creepy hyper-personalized AI-generated marketing material, trying to get us on an Enterprise contract. Things like slideshows that have the names and profile pictures of my colleagues who use Postman. Very weird.

This seems to be a trend now. I guess the dumbification is already started because I can't imagine a sane marketing person thinking this would generate positive leads. Unless they are targeting the same dumbified people.

Still $5B is insane, that would make Postman worth more than JetBlue. Airlines aren't exactly a good business to be in, but Postman is fairly easily replicated.

corruption at finest. There is no reason to use postman when hoppscotch or bruno is available.

I hope their B2B income stream is amazing but last company I worked for banned them in entire organisation, after their push to store requests in the cloud. People split between older Postman versions - with auto-updater ripped out, using IntelliJ's build in http client, and few weirdos prefering SoapUI.

Oh THAT'S what they're trying. Doesn't work on me %)
Hell, our CI test suite ran Postman, but because that was badly set up if a test suite failed, it required manually editing some state, otherwise the Postman state got fucked and everything would fail.
Did we still continue paying for it, you might wonder? Yes, of course we did.
